The eagle-eyed among you will have noticed that the website has undergone a bit of a makeover in the last couple of days with more new content. We have so much to share about growing flowers and getting children outdoors that we felt it was time to expand this section of the website and set up a Wordpress blog for everyone who shares our passion, whether they are already one of our members or are just thinking about it. You'll find it here. Please post comments and queries on it. We'd love to hear from you.
In the growing world we're always planning ahead for the next growing season and so it is with Our Flower Patch. We've started to sign up new members who want to start growing in September when the new term begins. We're so pleased that there is such enthusiasm out there for fully utilising school gardens and developing outdoor learning and it seems that enthusiasm extends far beyond schools and children's nurseries. Our programme works for families too, who want to set up cutting patches at home and allow their children to explore the outdoors and learn new skills in a fun, flexible way. It's the perfect antedote to too much screen time and, because we know how hard it is to avoid a daily technology fix if you're under 20, we've niftily built this into our 'Activity Zone'.
Sara and Cally are both busy with photo shoots and press interviews over the next couple of weeks. We'll tell you more as soon as we're able. In the meantime, you can click on the Radio Wiltshire logo on our homepage to hear us in action at a school earlier in the year.
