Today is the start of British Flowers Week a celebration of the amazing flowers and foliage that can be grown in Britain and the growers and florists that use it. It is organised by New Covent Garden Flower market.
To help celebrate and mark this special occasion last week Katie Spicer flower photogapher joined Sara at her Flower Patch in Upavon. She has written about it on her blog She has beautifully captured in words and images a snapshot of the life of a British flower grower. Something some of our young members may already be aspiring to become.
The Lonely Bouquet Sara left outside her village pub was winging its way up to North Wales.
Enjoy British Flowers week, send us a tweet @ourflowerpatch to say what you or your young flower growers are doing to celebrate! If you include the hashtag #BritishFlowersWeek it will be seen by lots of like minded folk!
